HISTORY
Sanwa was established in Japan in 1941 and made its entry into the printing equipment industry some six years later when, in association with Mitsubishi, the company started making feeder and delivery units for printing presses.


The Sanwa name became synonymous with very high quality products, and since the first diecutters were developed, the company has supplied over 70% of the Japanese market for 1060 format machines.

 

The range now includes other sizes as well, all displaying the Sanwa characteristics of high quality and precision combined with the latest technology, and at highly competitive prices.


Sanwa began exporting in the late 80's and Sanwa Europe Ltd was set up in 1991. Since its formation, the company has moved quickly to consolidate its position in both the United Kingdom and Europe as one of the leading suppliers of automatic platen cutting and creasing machines. In 2004 following a restructure Sanwa Europe Ltd became Sanwa UK Ltd responsible for the sales of new machines to the UK and for service and parts to the European markets.

Sanwa UK place great emphasis on the calibre and professionalism of its employees. All members of the Sanwa team have a work ethic which reflects the reliability of the company's products. All members of the sales department have a thorough understanding and knowledge of the products they sell.

 

Our engineers and demonstration staff are all factory trained and attend regular courses to keep abreast of all developments in technology, not only for the company's products, but the industry generally.


A large spare part department is also contained at the Wakefield HQ. Here, Sanwa UK keep parts in stock for all Sanwa models which allows parts to be with their customers as soon as possible.

 


There have been over 140 machines installed throughout Europe since the late 80's, making Sanwa one of the most poular automatic platens available. Sanwa's clients range from small and medium sized family companies to major international groups.
